Are you or your little ones heading back to school? Or starting school? Is this a brand new experience for everyone involved? Where do you even start?
Do not overstress, overthink, and especially do not overbuy! Have a look at our back to school supplies list to help you save time and money on your back to school shopping. The list includes all the school supplies such as stationary, lunch boxes, electronics, etc.
For your youngest littles, the school journey begins! Make sure they’re prepared right off the bat with these most-requested kindergarten school supplies. And you, set some tissues aside for yourself. And hey do not forget the first day of school signs even though that isn’t technically a must on the checklist.
Kindergarten musts: Pencil box, crayons, colored pencils, markers, sharpener, glue sticks, erasers, wide ruled notebook, indoor shoes, assorted construction paper, lunch box.
The older kids will need bigger backpacks for sure, and more supplies. Add some scissors, a ruler, and index cards to the kindergarten list above, and that is a good enough list. And even older kids will also need different folders for different classes and they will need supplies that’ll keep them organized as they tackle more involved homework, bigger projects and specialized classes
For your high schoolers then, add some highlighters, a personal calendar, a calculator, a three ring binder, spiral notebooks, blue/black ballpoint pens, whiteout, subject dividers., post-its, and some graph paper. Now when it comes to electronics, consider a tablet, an iPad, a personal computer that will allow them to do their best research for their projects and essays. Which will in turn prepare them for college and/or university.
SNACKS!! DO not forget snacks. As well as lunchbox supplies. This in itself will require its own planning and its own checklist. Add plenty of vegetables and fruit to the list, protein foods, and whole grain foods. And then plan their lunch boxes with them the night before and involve the kids in putting them together.
