For most kids, their birthday is their most favorite day of the year! And of course it is, they get to have a day where it is all about them, the attention, the party, and all the gifts. What do you do to make it unique, budget friendly and memorable for all the kiddos? It is very age dependent whether you host a party at home or at an indoor play venue.
If you need ideas for a party you host at home, check out the ideas below:
-
-
Do a scavenger hunt
-
Do face painting
-
Have a bubble party with a bubble-making machine
-
Go to a local park or playground
-
Have a dance party
-
Have kids make a craft
-
In snowy weather, play in the snow
-
In warm weather, turn on the sprinklers
-
Invite kids to come dressed in costumes
-
Play board games
-
Play field games like tag or red light, green light
-

And another piece of advice; pace yourself with other birthdays – you don’t have to say yes to every invite you receive. Sometimes, you get an invitation for each kid in the class and that amounts to either double booking or having a birthday party every single weekend. Ask your child to help choose their top 5 friends whose birthday they will go to. They will eventually have their besties but at this age it is very hard to decide.
